Step aside all the 'Trinas' of the industry, Spice is the baddest chick in the
dancehall game and there's no doubt about it. and that's meant in a
'no-bad-connotations' kind of way.
Immediately after launching her clothing line and store Spicey Couturetwo weeks
ago, dancehall artiste Spice left the islandfor shows in Tampa, the Brooklyn
Music Festival, Rubies & Ice in Queens, and the Cayman Islands. She is scheduled
to return to Jamaica on Saturday for two shows in Brown's Town and Portland.
Undeniably a hectic schedule but Spice is loving every minute of it.
In reference to the Brooklyn Music Festival, she says, "(It) was great! It was
raining, but the people were still out there with their umbrellas, so I just
went ahead with the performance.
"I was right before Capleton and it was a great performance because I brought a
lot of energy to the stage, doing some splits and that sort of thing. Performing
for me is always about giving the fans a really entertaining show, so that's
what I try to do all the time," says Spice.
Spice will leave the island on July 3 for a show in Trinidad.
